Had that razor in my Watch List just because it is a beautiful razor and I wanted to see what it sold for. I worked in a Casino for awhile and the first thing you learn is that the Casino never runs out of money. Ebay is starting to remind me of the Casino. So many eyes, somebody out there has the cash to get anything they want. It's partially that pesky transfer of wealth thing. But good luck hunting in the future, little miracles still happen, the big ones are mostly spoken for.

Really - was in my watch list for a couple of days, didn't really move at all until today....figured the snipers were getting ready for the last 60 seconds, I was ready with my bid and fired away at the 30 second mark, and watched it fly right up to $393...must admit, it was such a nice razor, I did some research and they are quite rare and sought after, so was kinda expecting it to hit that mark, was in fact surprised it didn't go for much higher.
Frankly, as much as I'd like a DD Grim Reaper / Vesuvius , and I like DD's (I have two), I thought this razor was far nicer....just my opinion.

I've never owned one of that brand but I've heard they are real good. That is the fanciest Wusthof Trident I've seen. Nice piece for the happy owner whoever he may be.

I told my wife that I'm getting a good eye for razors. Never heard of it , but by the craftsmanship, I knew it was a nice one. Put it in my watch list and bid $75.00 (don't want anything that beautiful to escape for nothing). I estimated $250-275 range missed it by $140 WOW! Double O

Thanked: 2I'll admit I get the majority of my razors from ebay simply because I dont have time to go hunting around very often and I had this one in my watch list to see what it would sell for. Most NOS razors Solingen, Sheffield or otherwise of, any collectibilty, I have seen sell for between $200 and $500 within the last year. I saw a large 19/16 Joseph Rodgers and Sons with the box sell for nearly $900 a few months back, I really wanted that damn razor haha.
