serrated edge?
Is this for thinning hair?
Vintage Straight Razor
Cant imagine that on my face.
The product description talks about cutting hair with the serrations.
First I ever saw.

Those serrations don't look regular enough to be a production process. My guess is that this razor has been repurposed by a former owner, but for what purpose I can't guess. Possibly, as you suggested, for thinning hair.

Thanked: 1195Yes, I imagine that would be a hair thinner, though I've never seen one with "natural" teeth like that. The older ones usually had a serrated guard that fit over the blade.
Unfortunately the seller is selling it as a proper SR. I pity the poor sap that tries to touch that to his face

I have one that I paid like 3 bucks for. It's completely useless, but interesting.
One time, in band camp, I shaved with a Gold Dollar razor.
