Default found at a local junk shop

Stopped by a local shop. This is an old W&B wedge, or near wedge. Someone seemed to have taken a file to the edge. Sorry for the crappy pics, but the phone kept focusing on anything but the blade.
The tag said 40, he offered to sell for 20.
I may offer him 10, but my question is if the edge has been ruined? Will it take a complete regrind? That would be beyond me.

I would be temped despite the chips that will have to be removed. It is a good bit of work but do able.

There is almost a double bevel, especially on the one side.

That shouldn't be a problem once the chips are removed. Just an indication of how much work it was for someone else.

I agree it looks salvageable but will be work. Looks like it will need sanding and then a good bit of time on the hones.
