Come on guys. You are not taking into consideration that this is a wide stone. Think of the tine you'll save not going X strokes. I've got my finger on the send button ready to push with both hands. Oh, wait, that's the handle on the toilet. Silly me.

Thanked: 2591Guys,
that is not an expensive stone.
An expensive stone is regular 8x3x2 that sells for 20k.
Here is one that when I was getting into Jnats was being offered for 8k usdStefan

Finally, I knew if there was anyone who could amp up the madness it would be mainaman. It would probably take several pages as to the why of this, skipping something is worth what you will pay for it and some people are richer than God (I think this is why the Word is mentioned in the description), but how is this possible? Does rare mean it came from one cubic foot of the mine that was extra select superior grade stone?

mainaman, it means that from my limited experience there are only a small handful of forum members who possess sufficient knowledge of Japanese Stones to have any idea why something like this stone would be posted on Ebay. I did not mean to offend you in any way and I am sorry you got pulled into this frivolity. I am interested in anomalies, hence my OP. Thanks for sharing your disdain.

Thanked: 2591Got it man, I have seen a 200k dollar stone as well, looked like any other normal stone, may be it was with no lines at all and pure color through the volume, but other than that I very much doubt it was any better than much cheaper stones.
The price the way I see it, for the 330mate stone, is purely dictated on the size .
Many members have bought from that seller and so far on one has said that the hones were superb for razor.
I have no doubt this current one is a nice looking 10k doorstop.Stefan
