Thanked: 2591I'd go for the cheapest one, for me 450 buck for a 7/8 blade is hype and nothing more. It ain't going to shave better than the 5/8 size. The feeling may be different the end result not. I frankly can't get why DD are so hyped, good razors but nothing that warrants such high prices.

Thanked: 4827I like to shave with all my razors so tend to stay clear of NOS as they tend be quite a bit more. I'm always looking for a deal. So the big question is what are you wanting the razors for, collecting or shaving.

Unless there is a size preference, I would just go with the cheapest one also.

All are good razors, being NOS makes them very expensive. Unless you want an NOS razor you better buy a used one in good condition. As soon as you start honing and using them they will have lost half of their value.

Kees nailed it! There are much better ways to spend your pounds on razors - unless you're into it for resale at a profit, then it's all just a market projection but you'll still lose money as soon as you use it. Both Gottas and Ducks are nice shavers, but I wouldn't pay $450 for either one, no matter how NOS or nice they may be. If $450 is your budget for a nice shaver at the moment, look at the classifieds here, or SRD.

Thanked: 1263For the price of those you could get a 6/8 custom. For a reference point, my most expensive razor other than the customs I have, is my Fili EPBD #14, and I paid less than those are offered for a few years ago (and it was NOS). Do your homework and shop around, the razor you're looking for will come to you
