Is this guy ever going to run out of fine razors? How is this happening, and how long has it been going on? Final question: Is he a good vendor?

    Thanks

There are a lot of razors to be purchased in Japan, so he will not run out soon.

    Why?
You can get #13 DT for a lot less here in US. Iwasaki Tamahagane Kamisori are not worth 3-4k USD, you can get one for 600-800 USD.
NOS Japanese razors pop in the classifieds on a regular basis with much more reasonable prices.

A genuine Iwasaki Tamahagne for $600-$800??? I'd like to see that.

    at auctions in Japan
The much more rare western Tamahagane Iwasakis go for 1000-1300 USD in NOS condition with all the paperwork and box. For ~ $800 you can get NOS western with no paperwork (HRC hardness value)

I've purchased one razor from him with no complaints. I've watched a lot of his razors and prices and (JMO), it looks like he really puts a premium on mint condition items. So some razors that are less than mint the price is a lot lower (although maybe they're still a premium).
He has some #13 DT going for about $170 - $225 and up that he's advertising as new...
But yes, agree with Stefan - if you're looking for NOS Japanese Westerns look watch the classifieds here too (specifically Zethlent's postings).
I love living in the past...
