Default Does anyone know who the person who goes by "yutahey" on eBay is?

There is a fellow whose eBay logon ID on eBay is yutahey. He is buying every honing stone that comes up for sale. Hey yutahey, are you out there, does anyone here know him?

My guess is that he is a Rabbi buying all the Belgians and Eschers he can find. The average razor stone buyer does not stand a chance against these bidders.

    Tony,

Why do they need so many??? Are they collecting or using? And if using - are they using them so much that they go through them so fast?

I remember that at Dovo they use a circular honing motion, which wears the Eschers in a particular way - is this what they do?

    Cheers

One of my biggest customers represents a coop of Kosher establishments and teachs the required skills. He buys in quantity in order to keep everyone supplied and distributes the stones to a large group of Rabbis across the country.

There is also the quest for the perfect stone as each color type cuts differently. Softer supposedly being better.

You will not the same 2 or 3 names turning up as bidders and winners on every vintage Belgian and Escher.

    Tony,

Now we are going but why not buy current Belgians but focus on the vintage only?

    Thanks

Because the veins got fairly depleted and newer ones aren't as likely to do the job as well as the oldies. Before, the vein was very rich and they could pick and choose the really high quality stuff.

Yutahey is an American Indian word. navajo as I recall. It kind of translates roughly to "what the f..." I know you all wanted to know that.
