I was recently offered USD1500 for one of my NOS EPBD's
They are grand shavers, but 1500 is a lot of money for a production razor, regardless of make.
Oh, as always, I rejected the offerBjoernar
Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

The pics are artsy, but useless to the buyer. That's an insane price.

It's not the first time. A couple of years ago it happened with a normal bidding too. There will always be buyers for whom the high price is worth it, so sellers with the right goods and enough time may benefit from it.

When I see stuff like that I always wonder about the financial status of the buyer. I think of an article I read in the mid 1960s about Frank Sinatra, the famous (then) singer and film actor. As an aside, within the article, it mentioned his walking into a casino in Vegas and blowing $10,000 in fifteen minutes or so, without batting an eye. Of course ten thousand to him was pocket money. So was this buyer like Sinatra or was he spending money he could ill afford ?
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 40A question to the Filarmonica collectors out there: what explains the price difference between those NOS ESPBs 8/8s and other NOS large Filis? When that auction first posted, I looked at completed listings, and no NOS Fili over the last 3 months or so had even broke $600 (in US listings). I assume that there must be some rarity/collectibility premium in play? To use a Dubl Duck analogy, are NOS ESPBs 8/8s coveted like Grim Reapers and priced accordingly?

He's also selling a Novodur Para Professional for almost a $1000 buy it now price and that's not even NOS, so it's not just the EPBD that command that kind of money.
