Thanked: 40Don Quijote 14 7/8 Made in France -- Anyone ever heard of this?
I ran across an unusual listing this morning and I wonder if anyone knows anything about this razor.
Don Quijute Shave Ready Straight Razor Similar to Filarmonica 14 | eBay
The sellers lists it as "Don Quijute" but I believe this is a typo as it should be "Don Quijote" (after Cervantes' novel). The shank says 14 and 7/8. The reverse side says "Made in France."
The seller seems to think that this razor is similar to a Filarmonica. To my limited knowledge, I am not aware of French-made razors that imitated large Filis. A web and forum search revealed nothing about this razor. Anyone have any insight?

Thanked: 40Doing a little research, I discovered that there is a Spanish brand "Don Quijote Acero de Toledo". Here is an example:
Straight razor Don Quijote, acero de Toledo, navaja de afeitar | eBay
It seems that the aforementioned brand explicitly marketed that fact that it used Spanish steel (Toledo has historically been famous for producing quality steel).
As such, it makes me wonder if there are various "Don Quijote" razors out there? I did not come across any "Acero de Toledo" razors that were "Made in France." I supposed that it is possible that the Don Quijote brand shipped Toledo steel to France to then make razors. This seems like it would have been an expense way to go, though.
