    Default Restored C-Mon Blackie

There's a nice, restored, C-Mon Blackie, on the E-Bay. Know this is a well thought of razor, 9 hours to go and $45, looks in awesome shape.

FYI - for those interested - hope this helps!

Blade looks nice I do NOT like the way the brass does not fit the scales though.

I have it on my watch list. The scales are not really my cup of tea. I do however have a set of black c-mon scales that would be very nice on that blade. Hopefully everyone hates the scales and I can pick it up cheap.

    Thumbs down

I dunno... my definition of "restored" does not include non-original scales*, or original bolsters sans silver. If the seller pitched it as a restored blade, I could accept it (wouldn't buy it, but could accept it). But not this. Not to mention the small, badly-lit photos accompanying the description.

Pet Peeve: Must every item be labeled as "vintage"?

(*) Unless they're visually indistinguishable from the originals -- IIRC, gssixgun posted a fine example this past year of a full restoration, including the scales and bolsters, that fills the bill.
You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.

I can't tell if it's a full hollow or a 1/4 or 1/2 hollow? Any ideas what grind it is?
