Stolichnaya Razor
As a college student majoring in Russian and having studied in Moscow, I'm looking into purchasing a Stolichnaya straight razor, perhaps more for nostalgia than actual shaving for right now. There are two Stolichnayas listed on eBay currently and as a beginner, I was hoping for some help in choosing one over the other. Though I don't intend on shaving with them right now, which one would be a better shaver in the long run?

I would talk to the vendor and find out the date of manufacture, the older the better, 1960's and before, after that, not bad but not as good.
It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

I'd say the one with the white scales. Maybe it is camera angle but the black scaled one might have a slight frown towards the heel and looks more used in general ..... to my eye. BTW, there are many different razors available from the Soviet era. You can post a WTB (want to buy) in the SRP classifieds and maybe come up with more choices.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Second one, hands down. The first has a slight frown, plus some extra hone wear on the toe. The second one looks quite nice, with very little hone wear.

Yeah, the first one looks like he might have been drinking more Stolichnaya when honing, than shaving with one.
I like the looks of the 2nd one too!!
