I've snagged a few from there myself. Some good stuff, some ..... not so good.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

Thanked: 40I've searched out Etsy from time to time over the last few months, and I have noticed that the prices seem on average to be quite high. It seems like you could get a better deal and have more variety on Ebay.
From what I understand, years ago, Etsy was full of screaming deals on some highly sought-after razors. That does not seem to be the case anymore.

Thanked: 4828I have looked there a few times. What really struck me was some of the lather bowls. There were also some nice brushes there. The razors all seemed kind of junky. I'm always suspicious of highly buffed razors that are not shave ready.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

+1 to the bowl suggestion. I bought a couple as gifts a while back and found a really good deal. Like anywhere, you just have to be patient - good deals can be found there. I have also picked up a couple of vintage safety razors and some soap and AS on Etsy.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

I've gotten some cool stuff on Etsy, but as others have mentioned, the prices can be pretty steep! I gave some Etsy gift certificates for Christmas too.
