Thread: Information on obtaining a quality kamisori?

With the worldwide shortage of straights, it might be kind of hard to find one. SRD has been out of stock of Iwasakis for at least a couple of months. I always look, out of curiosity. I keep thinking of getting one, but I never do.

BUT, if you're interested,
I just happened to be looking for woodworking tools this morning, and on japanwoodworker.com I noticed that under the "woodworking" tab they have Iwasaki Kamisoris, 2 inch model, and they are in stock. I guess they haven't sold out because most people don't think of looking for straight razors on a woodworking site. However, this place sells all kinds of blades for around the house, as long as they are japanese. They just happen to focus on woodworking, but they have Japanese straights too.
They are a reputable dealer. So, if you really want one, they have them, for today at least.

Awesome Info that I did see a few months ago when I was researching/exploring the "possibility" of getting a Kamisori.
