Great snag for $40. The orange scaled ones would be my "sacrificial sheep" to experiment with the most drastic means with.
The older I get the more I realize how little I actually know.

Thanked: 40I agree that this is a good snag for $40. The Pilot looks biggish? Maybe 6/8 or more? That should clean up nice.
The Le Grelot frameback is quite intriguing. I've seen TI framebacks, but never a Le Grelot. The TI framebacks are well regarded, so the Le Grelot one could turn into an excellent shaver. It's hard to tell from the photos, but there appears to be some rust/pitting towards the heel on the shaving edge. That could make settling a bevel I little difficult. I am sure you are up to the task.
The other 3 look like they should clean up without too much trouble.
Once again, this lot was quite a snag. I'd wagered that a restored Le Grelot frameback would fetch more than $40 on Ebay.

I have to agree with all - what a great buy! Phrank I understand why you hit the BIN button immediately - I'd have hit it so hard and fast that my finger would be in a cast right now.
