    Default Dovo Bismarck 6/8 Pearl

Not affiliated with the seller but this was the best deal I could find on a 6/8 Dovo Bismarck.

Seller is in Canada and luckily the US dollar is up again against the CDN dollar so the price was under $170.
I had intentions of replacing the scales but after seeing them in person, they are actually quite nice.
Could use a bit of inlay, in my opinion, but that would raise the price I suppose.

Figured I'd pass it along in case anyone else was looking for a 6/8 Bismarck.

At one point the Bismarck (and all other Dovo models) was readily available, but considering the current Dovo production issues this might be the best bet for someone looking to buy one.

BTW, the prices sure have risen..... I won't even mention what I paid for mine

I did see old ads on Google while searching that were about half what this was. That's why I jumped on this one. Everything else was pushing $300 or more

Seems every collecting hobby I get into is late off the gate...

After the exchange rate from CDN to US dollars, that what this cost me. Could have sworn I looked at SuperiorShave but didn't see them.

I have that razor and it is a good one. You can buy it here in the states at this site for less with free shipping. Superior shave is a good seller

After the exchange rate from CDN dollars to U.S. Dollars, I paid the same amount as the one you linked to. That included free shipping.

Just didn't see the one on their site. Doing a search for " dovo bismarck straight razor 6/8 " brings up over 5,000 hits, quite a few to wade through.

I too saw that vendor but I was worried about issues with international shipping and also possible customs charges. I looked into the customs and as long as you're under $200 it appears that you don't have to pay a duty for this merchandise.

If you don't mind me asking, did you have any issues with receiving it, and about how long did the shipping take?

Yes, Superior Shave is a good vendor. I live way across the states from Florida and ordered it over Christmas so it did take 5-6 days but that was completely understandable. My razor sat at a PO in Florida for a long time due to trhe holidays ( no fault of superior shave) and probably because of the humidity in Florida it ended up with some tiny specs of tarnish ( the start of rust) I called and spoke with the owner and was treated professionally and he came up with a more than satisfactory solution. I highly recommend them

Actually, I was asking the OP User64, or anyone else on the thread, about shaving_style (the CA company). I don't believe Superior Shave has the Bismarck in stock. Any info on the sale User64? Anyone else have feedback w/r to shaving_style?
