Thanked: 480In a way, there IS a price fixing conspiracy going on. If you look on the bay, you will find that the great majority of the current "popular" brands are all being offered by the same small group of sellers. If every razor of that type is listed for a buy it now of 1200 dollars, it makes it seem like a bargain if you see one selling with a 500 dollar price. And so a person buys one for 500, (and it could even be as straw purchase, we will never know) and now anybody looking at the "Sold Items" listings sees that these razors actually sell for that much. Now, they are willing to bid on these blades STARTING at that price, because they want to get a deal before they are all gone, and they are forced to purchase a 1200 dollar buy it now!
I myself will admit to putting up a razor for sale after seeing another of the same type for a retardedly high price. "If HE is asking 400 dollars, I can get 300 dollars!"
The laws of supply and demand can be manipulated to great effect if you can control the supply and/or create a demand!

Thanked: 14I just picked 2 exact same model straights for £28 I missed the auction and no one bid lol
my win cause I mailed them and bought them both
picked up another for £10.
good haul this week, I look for bad photos then look carefully at all of them, quite often there are bad photos mixed in that make them look a lot worse than they are
