Default NOS C-MON Cadillac 5/8" Hollow Ground - BIN $105.00

FYI - hope this helps if any are interested.

Don't know if this is one of those too good to be true items, but I've read that a lot of members think this is an excellent blade, and it seems there are 9 left for the BIN price of $105.00 - there were 10, but I figured I'd bite the bullet and take one for the team, so I grabbed one.

I don't know if it is 'worth it' or not. For a brand new razor it isn't a bad price. The current production, recent production got so- so reviews 5 or so years ago. Not on par with the Solingen C-Mons, or the earlier Ellicotville, NY stuff from the '50s and '60s was the word on the street. Of course that was one man's opinion IIRC. Hope it turns out to be a good buy for you.

Thanks JimmyHAD - never occurred to me that these weren't the old C-MON's...and thanks Trimmy72, looks like these might be a nice starter blade, or, into the lesson learned bin of lost hopes and dreams....

The new Cadillac's are made by Dovo. The one I have actually arrived shave ready and has been a good daily shaver.

Yeah, these look like are the last ones that were made by Dovo under the c-mon brand and were available up to few years ago at the $50-$70 range from few barber supply stores.
When I tried them back then they my impression was pretty much dovos, good razors but not the same as the old c-mons.

Huh? Made by Dovo...well that's fine with me then...I think they're fine blades, my first straight is a Dovo Best Quality and it's a great blade.

    Good to know...

Phrank you have ended up where you started. And it looks like your thinking about trying a different path. Variety is a good thing. Keeps life from getting boring.

Saw these about a year ago, asked the questioh here. Same answer, made by dovo. Still, a nice looking razor, and not a bad price.

A refund for the blade just showed up in my PayPal account, seller say's the blade has been discontinued.

I personally think that's a sign to find another Wade and Butcher.....
