"Real good condition"
Yeah...right!
Except for the chipped and cracked blade!
When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It's difficult only for the others.
It's the same when you are stupid.

I'm on my phone now, but there was is a Wade and Butcher, Magnum Bonum, I saw on eBay , seller says it's in good condition, look closely at the pics and you can see a chip out of the edge and what is most likely a crack coming up from the chip.
Beautiful blade, with the chip, maybe you could do something, but add the crack into equation and it's, at least for me, an automatic pass.
In ll fairness, seller probably just thinks it's an old big straight razor, looked up what WB's are going for, and put it up for auction...don't want to attribute any bad motives to the seller.

Thanked: 3795Sorry but I do want to "attribute a bad motive on the seller." Most people are unfamiliar with straight razors but ARE familiar with knives of one sort or another. Any goober knows that the cutting edge is what matters and this one is NOT in good condition.

Well, obviously I know what a knife is, but I'm not familiar with them to the extent of straight razors. Personally, and this is speaking for myself, if someone was to tell me a knife that had and edge like that could easily be fixed chances are I might agree - don't know anything about knives really.
But in terms of a straight razor, with it much thinner edge, I know enough that chips and such are a much different matter.
However, and this is where I agree with you, we all do have EYES...and the seller could have said, "there are some minor chips along the edge".
Might be just me, but of late it seems I'm seeing much more of the descriptions saying the blade is fine, "in good/great condition" and then the pics revealing anything but.

Thanked: 129To buy or not to buy, that is the question. As Shakespeare once said.

You fellas need to get down with modern hip-hop. You know when they say BAD that means good and when they say GOOD that means bad. So he was truthfully describing the razors. You gotta get with the program.
