Use a belt instead. It will be gentler on your edge and more effective.

if you've got about 25EUR to spare, you could get Tony's cheapest model at www.thewellshavedgentleman.com. It will still be a top performer and better than anything else you can get in that price range and better than most that cost twice that.

Thanked: 0i looked at that, but is it better to save more money and buy some more expensive? cause i can save pretty much in not that long time... in month or so i can buy some better one and i've been able to use my old strop this long now, month ain't so bad... but what to buy when i have enough money? i would love to order from Tony, but that VAT thing ain't relly that nice, so if i buy something it should be from Europe, cause i don't think that Tony is willing to cheat with customs? cause only way that i wouldn't have to pay taxes is to make it be a gift and values less than 30€ or dollars... so i could get that cheapest one, but expensive one's goes out of that price range...

Even the cheapest piece in Tony's lineup will work great on your razors because he carefully selects and cuts the leather. If you want something more up-scale without getting raped by VAT, you can always get one of Rob's strops. I heard they've been getting some good reviews and he's in the UK.
