Default Despite the error, a positive result to an eBay issue! Slim sold as Fatboy???!!!

So, I've had such good luck over the last year or so with quelling my RAD... But, then I started watching DE Videos and looking around and sure enough... That DE RAD was dug in deep and sprouted at the first sign of rain! ;-) I'd been thinking about switching to DE for Head Shaving and sure enough, it had begun!

You all know how it goes... Once that RAD starts rolling colors look brighter, details become unimportant and that "Bid" button is just the purtiest color of yellah! :-) I had my target in sight... Fatboy... "What do they look like?", I pondered to myself... "Pretty much like any other DE!", replied my RAD-fuddled mind. What all the voices in my head were forgetting is that a Fatboy and a Slim look a LOT alike to someone who never took the time to figure out the details and, with RAD running 5 by 5, I certainly hadn't thought this one very deep at all. Months go by looking for my target price... Loss, loss, loss, loss, loss... 8 second bid... Lost to a 4 second bid... And, on and on.

Until... I HIT! And, for a pretty good price that was within my target! Sweet!!! Then, it arrives... And, as I'm turning it over and around in my hands, I finally realize that I know JACK about the differences between the two and this is a somewhat diminutive Fatboy I'm holding in my hands right now! Ah, the cold sweat of uncertainty... If there is an antithesis to RAD it is most certainly that!

To SRP I go... Search entries and results flying but not enough definitive stuff to make me certain but I'm feeling worse rather than better. A video, that's it!

Sure enough... This guy does a GREAT job on his video and the kicker is the weight. Grab the scale... Oh, man... Now I know that, at 2.48 grams, it is most certainly a Slim. :-( Dangit... Resolution Center! Double unhappy face! :-( :-(

But, I shoot off an email to the Seller and explain what happened including a link to the video and ask them about a Partial Refund vs Return as I'm sure I'd have ended up with Slim RAD not long after getting the Fatboy. Fingers crossed they listen to the spirit of my plea and not just assume I'm trying to rip them off. Pay-Dirt... They are just as polite as I was in my communication and they put it on my plate to determine what the refund should be. Luckily, this would have been a 'great' deal on a Fatboy and just a bit over-priced on a Slim so I suggest $10 and explain my reasoning.

Done! Problem discussed in open and polite conversation and a very reasonable and honest resolution was agreed upon.

And, I was so wound up with energy from my mistake that I never realized, after verifying the Date Code was wrong, my hands just kept on a working and now that Slim is 90% cleaned/polished and ready to go... I even saw a cool video that showed how to paint the numbers on so maybe that will be the next step!

Overall, a GREAT learning experience and a huge positive despite being an eBay deal!

    Had to share!
