Thanked: 2027Let me put it this way,I have Zero compassion for the non-SRP members that buy this crap.
But,you have newb SRP members that buy the same crap, you see it every day.
I feel bad for them,Than again they have resources (Mentors) they can call upon, most never do.
Is a macho thing to buy your first blade I think, balls to the wallCAUTION

I guess some of the members have access of the activities/purchases of other members....must be kind of exhausting to keep track of 39,865 members to know who are making poor decisions. Adios amigo Sharptonn.

So Tom, this one has been bothering me for awhile so, I'll clarify even though it is truly water under the bridge....when you say in post #23 that SOME members keep buying CRAP and do not learn, this just seems a little omniscient on your part. The number I am quoting 39,865 members is pointing this out.....although it is most likely that one is a member for life even if they have not posted in years. So you are sounding like you know a group of current members who have not, or cannot, make informed decisions about their purchases. Maybe they are either poor and filled with magical thinking or mentally deficient. Any less confusing? Probably not.

Hmmm. Still confused, Bill. I have reread this thread to see what you are in reference to. If I may, in post 20, you admitted to once having been without good judgement and feel for those who do same. I take this to mean you learned from your mistakes.
In post 23, I admitted I have done same and actually figured out loud that all of us who are human have done same and have learned from it....or not. Agreeing with Pixel in post 21 and 24, I also stated I have no compassion for those who will not learn.
As Pixel's advise in post 24 is recollected, all the resources and help is readily available here.
The statements made by many here were a discussion. No one said anything about anyone being poor. Nor 'filled with magical thinking' and certainly not 'mentally deficient'. These are your words from the post #28 above.
Yes this statement is still confusing to me:
"I guess some of the members have access of the activities/purchases of other members....must be kind of exhausting to keep track of 39,865 members to know who are making poor decisions. Adios amigo Sharptonn."
Certainly I have better things to do than concern myself with who buys what, junk included. I do appreciate new aquisitions from the members here. A spade is a spade, Bill. My job as a mentor would mean my best interests are served by helping guys to make wise decisions. I do not gloat as someone does not, but compassion is reserved for those who deserve it. If you took some sort of exception to anything I said, I am sorry that you did. Not sorry for anything I said, though.
As-stated, Quite confusing!
Tom"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.
