Thanks, I get that. My concern was could this razor be cleaned up and sold to some unsuspecting fellow as a razor that will hone/strop/shave. A scam.
So it looks like most heat marks can not be removed to some degree.

Selling crap happens all the time. Some or all heat discoloration/ oxidization will go away and woe betide the newb or old geezer that misses it. Since they are not making razors of heat resistant M-3 tool steel which cuts at red heat, great care is required.
I have bitten upon "under the radar" listings and...I often got screwed! Look three times and if you wonder...don't bite!
Learning can be an expensive process!

Exactly what Richard says, and also remember "if it's too good to be true it probably is".
But rolling the dice on eBay is fun, and while we've all gotten burned, I feel like I haven't lost money collectively. The important thing of course is to not pay full price, look and read carefully, ask questions, and try as best you can to know your seller.
Cheers, Steve
I think someone ended up buying it! I offered $10 to the seller and was turned down.. lol well I figured for ten bucks it would be a good shorty for the broken blade rescue thread..
I wonder what they paid. But mostly I hope that they don't just chuck it and use the scales... though it was broken I think it would've been cool shorty.
Maybe someone on SRP got it? ... ... :)
