    Newbie question, I know it's junk but could that be polished up and sold as shave able? Or would the heat effect still be visible? I would think it would fail if honed/stropped/shaved with?

    Are you pulling my leg? Guys around here a huge pranksters. If you are talking about the Wade and Butcher then no, it won't buff out. Look closer at the pictures and play close attention to the edge in the middle and at the heal. someone has managed to crack that huge blade, maybe the second I've seen like that. The sad thing is, someone will buy it.
