Prototype of a thumb notch?
Half of a razor with half of a case. Makes sense.
I'm surprised his username wasn't such and such pickers!
Is that the half off, price.!?
Great example of the 'rotten wedge' on the Satinedges. Red or black. Send it back!
This one will lose an eighth, coming and going.

Well, it does have the "Make Offer" button, so why not go for it? After all, the seller didn't say, "Don't lowball me, man; I know what I've got!" :D
Some folks are just opportunists. They think they have something rare and someone will pay their price to get it.
I hate when they put "RARE," in the description. That's code for "you should give me a lot of money for it."
It's like when people ncall me and say, "how much just to...," Or "it should be an easy one. All you have to do is...," as if they know better than I do how to do my job.
And of course the coup de grâce and Magnum opus of those with a PhD from Google University with special studies at the YouTube institute, "Well, I did a little research and..."
:gaah::rant::td
Forgive me. I guess it's because I hadn't seen ya posting until lately. Beat me with a wet noodle. I see now I was wrong!
I know exactly what you mean Paul. I also have clients that contact me and tell me "it's a simple job that will only take 5 minutes". That's code for do it almost free, my stock answer is if it's such a simple quick job, why don't you do it yourself.
I don't take quick simple jobs anymore. After i see for myself what's involved I prepare a quote and I have a minimum charge too.
I’m waiting for the 7-day set …..
Another 'picker that thinks they hit the motherlode.........

This thread was enjoyable to read gentlemen. Thanks to all the contributors.
I personally had given up on searching eBay for hidden gems, but perhaps I should try again if for no other reason but a good laugh.
My favorite was when I was looking for vintage stereo gear (one of my other passions) about 10 years ago when vinyl records were getting red hot again. Some goof had a W.T. Grants record player 8 track FM radio combo with one missing speaker. It looked like something he found in the garbage and thought he hit the motherload. His intro line was "NON FUNCTIONAL BUT HIGHLY COLLECTABLE STEREO WITH RECORD PLAYER!". And he only wanted $750.00 on a buy it now. I laughed so hard I started choking. I should start looking for razors and supplies again to see if I can get another good chuckle, but it would be hard to top that whopper!
Cell rot and a wrecked blade. $60 anyone?

Maybe $100, if it looked like this.
Attachment 344239
I gave much less.
First of all, shame on whoever broke what is in my opinion is one of the best razors out there, and second, I know the scales are ivory, but $75 for a totally broken razor?!Attachment 344375
Be scared, very scared ….
