Ugh I hate to post this here, since it's a really nice razor, but just as a friendly warning gentlemen... those scales are toast, so if buying, count on replacing them immediately.
Other than the fact that they are celluloid scales, what's wrong with 'em? Everything looks good, and it appears as if the scales haven't began to break down yet. Open to enlightenment.

I think if you fit a new blade and new scales that should be a good razor

Hopefully this listing is not from a member here at SRP.
TWO VERY EARLY TORTOISE SHELL STRAIGHT RAZORS | eBay

I came across this listing for two razors I thought was questionable, if not blatantly false. The title and description have tortoise shell handles spelled out in all capital letters. The scales look like dyed horn to me. I sent the seller a question asking if they were positive on the scale material and how it actually looked like dyed horn, which was common on for Sheffield razors. They have not responded to my question, changed their wording, nor can I see where I posted a question on the listing. By the way, is it possible for sellers to block questions about the item from appearing in the listing?

If you turn those scales 90 degrees to the right she would be flying...and just as pretty as ever.

Imagine the difficulty of selling a razor when you've misspelled the manufacturer's name and the 2 words describing the model? Epic failure! Bonus: Razor size stated at 7/8 when it's clearly not.

Double Timple? Hey but it's stainless though!

Sometimes when they mispell, it's to your benefit like a Crandall Cutlery I scored once & I was the only bidder on it & got it for a steal. They listed it as a Randall Cutlery. I knew exactly what it had to be when I first read the listing.
