Yes - it is enjoyable to watch...I usually try to just bid once....and 8 times out of 10, I'll win it...but have had the carpet pulled from underneath me a few times, undoubtedly by some members here...and every time, I have to admit, I laugh...to scoop or get scooped in the last seconds is truly fun!! Nooo dooot abooot it...as we say here!

Thanked: 1184I kinda like watching 2 or 3 go at it dollar at a time, 48 bids to the last seconds, 62 dollars on the line, and then "BOOM" dropping a bomb. It's like stopping a silly argument with a back hand upside the head :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Thanked: 228I've found that when in a rural area, my in-laws who have Hughes-Net Satellite for internet, my cell phone connection is a couple seconds faster.

It's a rush for sure no matter if I win or lose. Usually I bid on impulse at the last few minutes and then hold my breath wanting to lose but hoping to win and grateful either way. The impulse bids are the worst because I usually watch the item(s) for a few days until the last five minutes when I get a notification and have to decide then and there on if I will bid or not.

You betcha , Because I bid way more than I was supposed to. I let my testosterone get the better of me. So its a whew got out of that one with my shirt still on. My latest strategy is like so many others set my amount and then wait till the end. Try and not get my buttons pushed.
My all time favorite was my max bid on a Boker Damascus was $50. Bidding ended at $54 and somehow I won. Lost 30 more auctions buy a couple of bucks.

Thanked: 237I have had some good plucks recently. Just won a near mint dubl duck goldedge. I refreshed the newly listed page and there it was, buy it now for $45. It looks to be in great shape but I guess I'll find out for sure when it gets here. I also just won a W&B FBU 1 inches for a mere 90$ when they have been going for several hundred lately. I'm still waiting for a 9/8 the celebrated FBU to pop up with a buy it now for under a hundred, but that's just me dreaming lol!
