    Default Le Grelot Frameback

Many here know, that aside from my big thumping cleavers that I like so much, I also am really fond of the French Framebacks, of which all I find are superb razors, providing a superb close and comfortable shave.

Was pleased to win this on eBay, a beautiful Le Grelot frameback with two blades, one 6/8, and one 5/8:

Nice! I've yet to score a frameback with removable blades.

Good catch, I were watching that one!
They are fun and do make extremely good long lasting edged shavers!
Most of the blades fit between the makes, I think from one punch press and machining Co. There is one though which doesn't fit unless the space between the hard points is carefully relieved. they modified the slot cut by jogging the cutter outward a bit and back to finish the cut. A great trick to have you buy the makers top relieved blades only.

PS, I am still trying to find the threading size of the capture screws. Odd for sure and I've tried dozens of thread sizes from industry and horology.
