Yes, Valery said it will lose some on the toe, but he does all his stuff by hand, so knowing him it will turn out fine, may just not be that pretty...

Better to make it a shaver with what it has, than to let it rust, I always say! Bet it will come out great!
"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
    I rest my case.

I had that in my sights trying to figure it out also Phrank. Sometimes you pop into the bay and can't stop puling the trigger because of the deals. I think this is a cool individual piece glad you picked it up. I was wonderin' if it could be sorted out.

Glad I was low on ammo this time :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

As far as the anchor standing for Birmingham, this load of tosh was dismissed summarily quite a number of years back. The Anchor (Birmingham), The Lion (London) The York Rose (Sheffield) and the Three Towers (Edinburgh) are only used by the Precious Metal Assay Agents of each place mentioned. Razors, being made of steel, do not follow any assay mark regulations. The only place on a razor where you may find assay office marks are on the scales, eg those made of hammered, cast or filigree silver.

    Neil
Well here's an interesting razor stamp to throw into the mix...in the diagram, the Anchor shape for "W. Goodlad" is on this razor marked, "I.Barber"...very interesting, are they related at all?

Did you pick that one up? I had my eye on it, and was VERY tempted! Nice win if you did.

Yes - had my sights set on this when I saw it, another unusual Anchor marked blade...looks like it will be a great shaver. What I find interesting though, is that in Neil's post, the Anchor resembles the Woodlad stamp, yet the blade is marked I.Barber....the plot thickens!

Congrats, that's a great - looking razor. I picked up a couple from that lot myself.
