Thread: Found This Very Rare Item On Ebay

Hi everyone. I found this very rare & unusual item on eBay. Only about six of them are known to exist. It is a unique strop/hone. It is too bad the paper appears to have been crushed & re-straightened.

That thing has been on the bay for at least a year.

$2500 buys a lot of strops!

Splashone, I agree, it'll buy a lot of strops. I wouldn't buy it but I don't guess it was a good idea or someone might have strted producing something like that for a decent price!!!! I just found it interesting.

Well, why would you make a contraption like that when you can just hang a piece of leather from a rope?
It's a clever device, but too complicated compared to the alternative.

Am I right in thinking the letter is signed 'Lucky'? If so, I think he has a very appropriate name.

I agree with you on that one Jimmy. He probably sits in his car scratching the scratch offs in the store parking lot....................
