Smile Thought you guys might get a laugh out of this one.

I thought you guys might get a laugh out of this "gem" I discovered last night. It's listed as a "Custom Stag Handle Black Powder Patch Knife with Sheath". Hopefully, the bidders are just interested in the high quality sheath.

When I started muzzle loading back in the early 70's, using a straight razor blade was recommended as a quick and authentic method of making a patch knife.

According to Bernard Levine, "patch knives" are modern creations. He says they never really had them in the original muzzle loader days. (FYI, In case it sounded that way, I didn't mean for this information to be flippant or argumentative.)
