Thanked: 4827Yeah, I get busy and miss auctions often and sometimes they go for a ridiculously small amount of money. I had a large W&B on my watch list that had been very nicely restored and looks awesome and it went for under $75. I have also been the recipient of such deals, so sometimes you grab something when everyone is asleep and other times you are asleep.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!

Yep Shaun, you're right about that! Sometimes it might be late at night & people here will be asleep but there are those overseas that get on out ebay here & if the seller will ship worldwide, all they have to do is enter that item number into their country's eBay. I will do it. I will go to different eBay sites & if they ship out of their country, I copy the item number & paste it into our eBay here. I'm pissed I missed this one though, that was a very nice TI. I would have paid the bin price for that one if it didn't have a best offer option but someone got it not knowing what they had & sold it for a ridiculously low price!!!

I have that already but I get emails from eBay from my saved searches & I got one for a TI razor so when I clicked on it, it was already sold. Just one of those things. Ebay sends those email out in the middle of the night about 4am central time. I'm up at that time sometimes but I wasn't this time. It's a beautiful piece but I missed it. No big deal, I just thought I would share a nice TI with everyone that went for cheap! I've missed out before & it won't be the last time either!
I'm still happy about my Filly I got from Birnando though!!!!!

Thanked: 1184Everybody is asleep now dang it. Just checked my purchase history and....... pay for this, you won that, here comes another........ I have a nasty habit of placing a bid thinking " for sure that is going through the roof. " 10 here 50 there OH that will surely go for more than 200. Calling the pawn shop tomorrow.

I've done the same thing, expecting not to win but sometimes people miss them. They will be watching it but then there's a phone call or a knock at the door just at the wrong time every time. Whenever I want to do a manual bid, my dog comes over & wants some attention at the wrong time & I have to push him away for a few seconds. He walks away & then I tell him, "don't be mad" & he's smart, he knows what that means & he turns around & comes back. He's a very smart dog!
