Thanked: 4827A little late to the party but I too have dealt with him. His written English is very good as well as his comprehension, and seeing as how my Japanese is non existent it made hime very easy to communicate with. The transaction were honest and fairly quick so I have to say not complaints here.

Thanked: 4827Interesting fact. $16 shipping from Japan gets to me in remote Canada in nine days. USPS First Class Mail takes around 14 days. Global shipping program 21 days and still waiting. Guess which costs the most? I am amazed at how fast stuff from Japan gets to me. Half of that travel time is within British Columbia and nothing got hung up in customs. Customs can be very fast or very slow here, I expect it is the same in most places.

Japan seems to have the most effective programs. Fast, efficient, and friendly. We, in the U.S. have exorbitant prices for top-shelf shipping. Seems the Japanese provide it to everyone at a decent price. Imagine that.
Now, import duties and VAT taxes are another bunch of our worries.

My 2 cents. I looked at his stuff and it was all beautiful. NOS. Then I found a guy that I had purchased from a few years ago that has over 1300 razors, not NOS but I would be hard pressed to tell the difference as they look like 99%. The best part is his razors are 1/3 to 1/2 the price of the above.
His seller name is japannippon and is super passionate about what he sells. Each razor his hand wrapped in paper with his own Japanese writing on it then in a cellophane wrapper. Probably the best seller I've ever dealt with on ebay.

Thanked: 237I don't want to start an argument here, as japannippon does have a vast collection of razors for sale, however his prices are very high. 1/3 to 1/2 is laughable, in my opinion. He doesn't seem to have any order to his pricing, especially in reference to his filarmonica razors. I looked through every one of his auctions just last night in the hope that some have been relisted at lower prices. He is asking simply outrageous prices, some of which are the sello oro, which are hit or miss as far as shave quality. Just my humble opinion of course, he does have some very nice razors that I would love to own.

Thanked: 1I have purchased from japannippon and had both good and not so good results. two razors were excellent, two were horrendous, all were described as mint. I requested to return them, and he permitted it, but told me he does not typically accept returns.
Some of his prices (Filarmonica 14 without stamp for over $800) are inconceivable, probably attempts to influence future selling prices. If someone pulls the trigger on such a highly priced item, it sets a precedent. I hope no one does.
Overall, because he has accepted my returns when needed, I will order again if he has something he wants.
BTW: I think his prices are absolute top-dollar. zigzagpapa sells mostly NOS stuff, I think, which puts it in another pricing category.
