Default Dubl Duck Gold Edge on EBay

There is a Dubl Duck Gold Edge currently listed on EBay. The link is http://cgi.ebay.com/dubl-duck-GOLDED...QQcmdZViewItem

    Current bid is $152.00

Is a resource available to provide suggested prices? I am interested in such a razor but don't want to pay way beyond the real value.

    Thanks,
    Jim

A razor that is not in production has no 'real value'. The cost is determined entirely by supply and demand.
Most people agree that DD's are excellent shavers. Also many would say that there are significantly cheaper razors that are no worse. However this is very subjective issue and you won't know how much it is worth to you until you try one and compare it to the other razors you have tried.

When the demand for these slows down (if ever) I'll look into getting one. To many others I want first

The price of the dubl ducks flies all over the place on ebay. I picked one up in really nice condition the other day for $51, so it's shocking to see one going for 3x that in similar condition. Just a data point.

Altima / Bob cleans them very well, and has established a name for himself. If you buy from him - you will pay more simply for the assurance that you are getting something nice.

Having said this - I myself would not pay as much for it. I got one for ~100 to try, and sold for about the same amount. It was a great shaver, but I want to try others

    Cheers

What appeared to be a pretty nice Goldedge spike point with much of the gold wash left just sold for $39.90 tonight. Some days/nights there seem to be those looking for Ducks and paying ridiculous prices, and then other nights not so much.

    Couple of points:

The price does seem a bit high, I paid $57 for one in similar condition, also with its box. Mine actually still has some of the gold wash remaining, while this one does not.
