wade & Butcher 13/16
I'm not sure if I am willing to be the one to jump on this. Sounds too good to be true. Starting bid $25 BIN $35

Thanked: 2284Too much toe gone IMO, and the backside of the blade has some geometry issues on the tang I'm thinking....

Thanked: 2284All I see is that the toe has been over honed. Then on the back side, the non name side, at the top on the tang the hone wear is not even at all. It says its shave ready, and may shave just fine. I'm not sure I'd want to fight this one if it didn't shave well. But, you could send it away and let someone else fight an edge onto it.

No, I am under the belief it's priced low for a reason. Too good to be true concept. I'm still learning what to look for in presentation and geometry.

Thanked: 4827I was not impressed either but for different reasons. I too am concerned about the toe, and there seems to be some discoloration at the toe in pick two. It could be just the picture, I'd want to see another. It seems to have seen a bit of buffing but still is not that clean. I'm a little picky if I'm looking at already worked on razors.

In defense of whoever did the work, at least they honed it into a smile with a fairly regular bevel.
There is obvious pitting & you only have the word of the seller that it shaves.
I'd expect it was honed with some layers of tape & I don't like what I see at the edge on the pile side. Sort of a micro bevel. The white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.
