    I saw this and was wondering about the scales....rescale ?

    that would be my guess. doesn't look like any goldedge i've ever seen. mines got the classic cracked ice cell scales with the gold colored inlays on the end. also the gold plating is missing from the tang on this one. my guess is the scales are bone. maybe it was cleaned up and old scales put on?

    Aside from the missing goldwash, that razor looks in pristine condition, very nice!

    The initials are the provenance of the blade. OTOH, the DD icon on the scale is prettier.

    That is a tough decision. Not sure what I would do.

    Old rescale is my call also
    I have bought from this seller many times no problems at all
    Usually better than the photos in person
    Now the cats out my bid isn't going to get close to the sell price LOL
    Saved,
    to shave another day.

    I shall take this moment to remind you all that DublDuck never produced a 13/16

    Its a nice restore though, and certainly you wont have to worry about the cell rot.
