    Default Ebay and PayPal split

So if I am reading the updated policy correctly.... Ebay is now going to charge a fee for using Paypal?
    Is this correct?
If so that is pretty crappy of them!
They already take out a fee for using the site.
Let us poor sellers make a LIL bit of $$$

Any chance of a link to the possible extra charge?

I think they always charged a fee. When I sell a razor for say $40 I only get $38. But you do save on postage thru pay pal.

    An update to our customers

Here is what I am talking about:

What are the specific changes to the eBay User Agreement?
Fees, holds, returns & cancellations, and Money Back Guarantee: Users now authorize eBay to instruct PayPal to make deductions from their PayPal account(s) for fees, returned items, items not as described, return shipping, cancellations (under our new cancellation policy), and Money Back Guarantee reimbursements. eBay will recommend, rather than request, when PayPal can restrict funds in a seller's PayPal account. We clarified language for holding seller funds, placing charges on a seller invoice and/or charging a payment method on file, and removing funds in a buyer's currency.

That is what I am confused about.
Yes Ebay charges you a fee but it looks like they will charge you another fee for using PayPal too?

Sorry about the trouble with a member...
    That is NOT COOL!
PayPal seems to be a stand up company!

Ebay charges roughly a 10% final value fee. Paypal charges roughly 3%. I don't think there is any change in that. Only now, rather than ebay deducting the fees automatically (from your paypal account) they will have to await your instruction to paypal. Thinking that there may be an alternative to using paypal for your fees.

OTOH, I wouldn't be surprised if this doesn't end up costing sellers more.

It is like the scene in the old movie, "The Magnificent Seven." Steve McQueen's character is telling of the guy who told his friend he is going to play poker. His friend says, "The game is crooked."

"I know," he replies, "but it's the only game in town."
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.
