    Its perceived value has less to do with its magic honing potential and more to do with rarity and the willingness to pay the price. There are always collectors out there willing to fork over large sums of cash for thing they may never even use.

    Lol, that is so true, I know someone who has one of these Norton red/black hones and they won't even lap it flat to use it, it's just the appeal that it is so rare and sought after that they enjoy having it (but hey, I have razors I won't hone and use so I am guilty of it myself).
