Some interesting razors.
This eBay seller has some interesting razors. Normally I don't post auctions, I wouldn't want something I was bidding on posted here, but all these are "buy it now". Not cheap, most are $100 and rusty. It does look like the contrast and saturation in the pictures was increased making it look worse. What caught me eye where the three with tapered blades. I bought one as I've been wanting one forever, a Joseph Elliot Silver Steel:
It's a little rougher than the other two but has the nicer shape and name.Than ≠ Then

NO 162 is very nice, would clean up well and they are fantastic blades...rattler or faux framebacks are always fun blades.
That tapered blade is beautiful, you have good taste, the taper I find makes doing the ATG stroke on the neck area much easier and closer.Last edited by Phrank; 05-17-2015 at 02:21 AM.

I saw all of those. Looks like an older collection being brought to light. None for me, though!

I rest my case.

Thanked: 4827I already had a couple on my watch list. They are priced a little high for my budget. I really blew a lot of money over the last couple of months and need to sell some stuff before I buy more.

I'm over extended my self. If this razor hadn't been on my wish list, the price and condition would have kept me from buying. Afterward I deleted the rest of my watch list . Now if I could only stop searching for that razor gem that I think might fall through the cracks and land in my lap for next to nothing......

So he thinks every razor he's got is worth $100 or $125, except for the fake old razor that often gets sold as a Revolutionary era razor which he thinks is worth $180? Good luck to him I guess.

I'm also a fan of the tapered edge. I like their shape. They look different. Very sophisticated to me.
Mine is a Greaves & Sons. Great find.
