I wonder what is so special about those handles to make them such commodity? I like the looks but they are not rare by any stretch it seems.
What boggles my my mind is I could have a custom blade done for the cost he paid...... To each their own I suppose.
Edit.
A very, very nice nice custom I might add!!
It must be for a collection, there is no way those can be flipped for any kind of profit.
People do that. Try to corner the market on an item. If he only knew how many of those are out there.
I had bought 6 or 7 of them. Quit when they got over 40 bucks. I even gave a few away to friends. :rofl2:
There are those with crazy amounts of money and they want what they want. I know a guy that has 3 million bucks parked in his garage. When your income is in the over the top ridiculous range you can do all sorts of things. Perhaps he wants an NOS brush for each member of the board of directors, or each vice president.
Maybe this person has two accounts. He's selling under one name and "buying" them under another name at stupid, outrageous prices to jack up the perceived worth/value. Once the stock goes up and everyone on SRP decides to jump on the bandwagon, he'll dump them for ridiculously low prices and still make a huge profit.
But that's my conspiracy prone mind working...
This will be on my "buy" list from now on whenever I go on antique/flea market road trips that's for sure. For the life of me I don't see what's special about that brush???
At that price it should be a rubber you can depend on.
