Combined shipping?
Hey yall......
I'm a little confused on something.....
When you purchase/ win 2 or more items from the same vendor and they say the will "do combined shipping to save you money".... Isn't the combined shipping charges supposed to be cheaper than if each item shipped separately?
For example...... Each item has a shipping charge of $20......
I purchased 2 items. And they invoice me for $40? How is that saving me money?
I sent the seller a message expressing my concern over the shipping charges. I hope it was just an oversight. If not...... (sigh)Last edited by Willisf; 05-27-2015 at 04:49 AM.
Is it over there or over yonder?

Thanked: 3228Lets hope they don't claim they really did "combine" the shipping charges in that only one consolidated amount appears on your invoice. Hope it is just an oversight.

It's things like that , has me not going to the bay anymore, after the GrimmReaper guy I have not much respect for the majority of these clowns , I know there are some decent people selling , but most of my experience is , a bunch of people that will scam you or lie or just send junk. But YMMV JUST ME , it's a shame they can't be more professional , oh well I can find what I want somewhere else. Tc

Thanked: 2591In those cases I ask for invoice and do not pay until the seller sends one. This way I can argue the combined shipping with them.

Sometimes shipping 2 razors is just like shipping one, in terms of costs.

Well guys.... I got hold the seller and we got a shipping price. All is good now. He invoiced me correctly. All is good now.
Some people on eBay do try to make extra cash on the shipping charges.... ALWAYS pay attention to that.Is it over there or over yonder?

I had a seller do that... said pay the invoice, and he would refund me. he did. Not sure how that is any better then just discounting me at invoice creation. <shrug>

Sellers that don't combine shipping are usually making money out of the shipping price. I'm always happy to combine shipping for people that buy razors off me on ebay. Shipping two is usually only a couple of dollars more than shipping one.

Thanked: 480Speaking only for myself, I have had buyers pay for 2 separate auctions, without waiting for an invoice. THEN, complain that there was no discount.
Always send a message asking for an invoice before you pay, and remind them in the request to combine the shipping for "item this and item that"
