Default It would be sad if it weren't so funny, with a happy ending?

I decided, after losing control and buying several razors last month, to completely abstain from buying. Somehow I convinced my self it was OK to buy a couple of Naniwa SS. After all, now I have the whole set, 1K (Chosera) , 3K, 5K, 8K, 10K, and 12K. It's only makes sense right?, and they were used and at a good price.
So... In the mean time, while I'm not buying anything else (there's still things on my watch list that I'm just watching to see how prices are and as a reminder for some buy-it-now stuff) I decide to check out a bid sniping program for future reference. So I scan through a search of the cheapest razors for something to put a token bid on just for a test, you know, stuff that's broken or being sold as parts.... but everything has a BIN and I'm falling asleep by now and I even let Cheetahmeatpheonix know about some scales I stumbled across and OMG I need to get up at 5AM so I go to my watch list and decide to put a one dollar increment bid with the sniper to an auction that ends while I hope to be asleep. You know where this is going. I assume someone is going to lay a last second, I have to have this item, bid on it and I'll see how this software works.
So, yeah, much to my dismay, I won. Sniping software works, even when you don't really want it to
The more philosophical among us might reason that this was my plan all along, that I was secretly hoping to win and the story I tell is an elaborate rationalization of a behavior I have little control over....

    Anyway, I now own this:

    Hi, Hart!
Nice to see this beutiful razor in your hands. A master degree student who I advise lives near the central mail office, and just took your box with her. I have a meeting with her tomorrow morning, and she'll bring me the recipe with your tracking number.

I just cannot see good stuff like this razor resting, I am a user by excellence and it gaves me chills and some itching every time I spotted it at the drawer. I went really near to open up one of its vintage blades, put it in the razor and take a shave with it, but its pristine condition yelled "collection, collection".

I hope you enjoy it very much, and thank you for the deal.

    Cheers,

    Thanks Matheus,
Despite the odd circumstances, I am quite excited to be receiving the razor. It will get some use, not a lot as I use the straight most often and I have three other safety razors too.
One is an old Gillette Knack I used for about 30 years and now is used by my son

The other two are a Merkur 15c, probably the mildest razor ever made, and the complete opposite end of the spectrum Muhle R49. It will be nice to have something in between the two and so beautiful too.
I might try one of the vintage blades, otherwise it's Wilkinson or Feather blades that I use.

Thanks again for making such a lovely razor available.
