I would definitely say it will be more than the current bid $20.50. Do you think the scales are original and the dye has faded or a mismatched pair. I like it the way it is, the $60 aus of postage would put me off as bit though (unless I could get it for not much more than the current price
).

Thanked: 4830The blade is ok but I am enamored with the two tone mismatched scales. I have tried soaking horn in oven cleaner to get it to bleach and prematurely age but I did not get that effect. I even tried boiling them and putting the hot scales in oven cleaner, and it made some interesting effect on the horn but they did not look like that.

Personally I'm looking at those as restoration projects!
That style of blade works great with both modern and classically styled scales, and the heavy grind and deep etching means you can really work to get a decent finish on the blades without worrying too much about burning through the steel.
But I agree they'll likely go for more than $20! Nice looking blades and you could definitely turn them into something pretty special
