    Nobody sees the beauty in anything anymore. I'd give 5$ as the scales look to be salvageable to me an they're worth at least that.

    I was thinking the same thing. If the price was alot lower I would buy it just for the scales. I have paid $5-10 for a few razors just for the scales.

    I think that people can see some value in the scales but not $40 worth. You could offer the vendor $5 and see how they react

    You can even go as high as $6, as Orville will give you a buck if you can make this stop
    The only problem with the plan is that you may then have to spend a month arguing whether these are supposed to be AUD, CAD, or USD
