    Default Porcelain Scales?

Came across a set of porcelain scales. Vintage Straight Razor Procelain Scales Super RARE Chas M VanHeusen Copelands | eBay Would they even flex and if they did wouldn't they crack? Maybe they are only for decorative pieces. Never seen anything like these before.

I would think you would! I've decided you're a glutton for punishment with all those MOP scales you've pinned

I think it would comport itself as mother of pearl.

I'd suggest to use some aluminum (very soft and easy to pin) on it.

I think even MOP would be more forgiving when pinning then those would.

Wow. there's something you don't see everyday. I certainly wouldn't want to be pinning them.

There is absolutely no bending them. A spacer would have to be made for the wedge end corresponding with a proper totally flat-tang blade. I would think a thin-tang faux-frameback. Many test fits with microfasteners, lightly applied at first, to be certain no pressure is put upon the scales. Brass pins would be appropriate as to the decorations. They would have to be annealed on the ends to super-soft. If the pin-holes were sized right, some rivet-body collars all the way through would be my preference. If the blade does not center, only gluing-down spacers and filing them here and there would do. Seems a pile of work if I did it.
Would not want to risk breaking those. Think I will bid!

    Oh! It's a BIN!

Very pretty, but not something I would want in my collection. I would think heavier and possibly quite slick with lather covered fingers.
Hope a member buys them as I would like to see them completed.
