You're allowed to make it known that you are listing on ebay once in awhile. Generally the protocol has been to announce that the listing is yours in the OP. I don't think there is a rule that stipulates that though.

Nice looking razors. For some reason I never bid on auctions with a reserve. I don't like bidding on things that I don't know whether I can own or not.

Full disclosure is absolutely required, otherwise the advertising is misleading and even deceiving. We have banned several people for pretending they are unrelated bystanders without any vested interest; the term is shilling. It all depends on the severity of it and the lack of change in behavior.
