The set arrived the other day and I tore into the packaging as quick as I could so that I could inspect them. Wouldn't you know it, two of the blades are useless because of cracks in them, I was sorely disappointed. I have been talking with the seller and he says that he will give me a full refund because a friend of his wants them, oh well.

After a lengthy discussion with the seller we decided on a partial refund on the set rather than the hassle of a full refund and extra shipping cost as well as my time. So it seems that I have a three piece five day set in a seven day set box. I can go about getting the three decent razors up and running but that will take some work, the other two are scrap except for the scales and the tang sheathing the box is another story. What do I do with it? Keep razors in it? Sell it? Hmmmm.

There are few of us that collect Henckels razors. I am sure any one of us would be into the box for sale or trade or as an early xmas gift. It is too bad about the blades. The blade pictures were rather poor and a lot could have been unseen in those for sure. If I recall correctly the box was pretty good and there were better pictures of that.

The box is in excellent shape and fairly free of defects but for age. The felt lining could do with a cleaning. I doubt anything but a knowledgeable seller would have been able to spot the cracks in those blades as they were not readily evident to me except under close scrutiny, even then I needed a magnifying lens to see them. Are you hinting to me that you also collect Henckles razors RezDog?

There are three of us on the forum that state that regularly. Myself, Rhensley and sharptonn. There is likely others too but they are not as vocal.

Joel, if you search long enough, you can complete that set maybe. It's like finding the missing piece to a puzzle. This isn't a Heckles but it is an example of finding the other piece of the puzzle:
