Thanked: 346The Lifetime, aka "Grim Reaper", was later renamed to "Wonderedge". It's considerably rarer than the Wonderedge. So yeah, it's probably worth that much - probably quite a bit more, actually. We'll find out when the auction ends...

The Wonderedge surprises me as these do turn up weekly on eBay. Not always this nice and I suppose mint is likely worth double to a collector than an average one. The Grim Reaper though is pretty rare. I remember only 2 other on eBay in the past few years. It will be a long time till another turns up I bet.

The grim reaper ain't no wonderedge. They were both the top of the line models but the grim reaper is a standard solingen razor but with fancy scales while the wonderedge is a different animal as far as blade material and treatment goes. I have both. Is it worth the price? If your a collector and need it for your collection you pay what you have to, to get it. If you just want a good shaver no its not.

Shavability aside I am surprised it did not go for more considering the condition. lately a few Wonderedges brought this much or near to it. For a collector filling out a set prices go high. Add a near mint condition and it gets crazy.
I picked up a few DD razors from members here, Wonderedge, Gold Edge, etc.... all shave nicely, top of the line on down. They range from well used to near mint.
