I can only tell here that the FASO is not a Thuringian Stone. Its a good stone nearly as good as Thuringian Stones but its origin is not in thuringia.

The reconstituted thuringians give quite good edges and work a bit faster then natural stones. If you can get one of the DE blade hones (one side for DE blades, the other for razors) you can get a very good stone for a fair price (10-25€). And yes the Binder can be a problem on those...the material gets brittle...

They are strange to put it mildly. Every time one sells for what they go for I am puzzled. Most older synths are so blah

Stone is in the mail btw. Not expecting a quick delivery coming from Canada. For whatever reason to and from Canada to NYC is always painfully slow. I will put up some better pics in the hone area when I have it in hand.

I threw up unlabeled ones to eat the cost. I got half my cash back so far. Maybe by Sunday I will cost neutralize it. Wasn't planning on buying rocks this fall, but that was just not a normal scenario, especially on modern eBay..

As crap as it is for price research, it was nice for noting packaging variances.

Arrived early. Rebranded barber's delight. Here it is next to an Escher bd. Top top top top quality. Tip top of the mountaintop quality... Amazing.
