Default Something special about Henckels 415?

Yesterday, a Henckels 415 sold on ebay for $137.50. It doesn't looks exactly "mint," so I'm wondering why it sold for such a premium over the usual Henckels prices. Is the 415 a special model?

Henckels are highly regarded, especially in this kind of condition(mint).
It has the originial scales with the Twin Works logo; and the scales are also mint.
...and it will work for a fabulous shaver + as a collectable, too.

Yea, it's high, but somebody wanted it enough to pay that much(supply and demand). Usually, though, the ones you see that go high are the 6/8 and 8/8 that are a good brands(Henckels, W&B, Puma, etc.) in good condition. The guys here at SRP seem to favor the heafty razors(does that mean this forum is predominately heavy bearded men? Who knows). I guess it's a matter of preference, but they like that "heavy" feel to their razor.

Yes, to see a 5/8 go for that is a bit rare, but considering what it is....

I am new to this game and I am not familiar with what the numbers indicate in regard to each manufacturer. I know a lot of the more experienced shavers here on this forum could answer that question.

There's nothing different about the 415 that I know of, other than they are good shavers. Not sure what was so special about that one, all of the Henckels razors are good shavers (at least the ones I've tried). I've even given away more than one 415.
If you MUST have one, they are available.

i was watching that one and i bowed out when it hit $50.00...

nothing speacial about it at all...heck, it's not even a friodur (the same seller sold a similar sized friodur which i would have considered to be in better condition for less...$117 or thereabouts is memory serves me well). it's not mint(by my standards...i'd rate it at good/very good) look at the wear near the toe. doesn't even have the original box (okay i'm nitpicking)
