The etch doesn't look right to me. Part of the A is on the bevel and the etch doesn't look deep enough for that to happen also Unum the U is cut off by the banner and then the weird swirly things too and bottom, I haven't seen those before. Maybe totally off base so I thought I would ask for opinions.

The seller has 9726 transactions with 100% positive feedback. Nice looking razor. I guess it is possible, but highly unlikely someone has messed with the etch. More concerning, the etch reads razon...

I don't think the seller has anything to do with it whether it's authentic or not and was not my intention to call their integrity into question. It was just that the etch looks all wrong to me. Hopefully someone with more experience is able to tell one way or the other. Worst case scenario is I look like an ass for being paranoid, best case maybe it helps keep someone in our community from paying for something that isn't authentic. Either way we all get to learn.

The way the capital letter A stretches into the bevel looks strange too.

Looks legitimate to me. It's got some hone wear and maybe a crack at the notch, but I would bid on it.

Yes, wondered about that myself. You'd almost think the part the runs into the bevel would disappear.

The etching looks to be quite deep so the part in the bevel would still show through until you got down far enough. By the time you got down that far the edge would be there anyway.

Well maybe it is deep enough for that to happen but the fact that the honing has reached the etch indicates its lost a bunch of it's original width.

If you check out the 'R' in American it looks the same, its the style of the text used in the etching. Looks legit to me...........
